Cocopeat is a byproduct of the process of making coconut fiber. However, in recent years it has been used in a wide ranges of application which is very closed to the scale of coconut fiber. Cocopeat is used mainly in agriculture in a large scale such as cultivating bag, artificial soil,… The weakness of natural cocopeat is it may need to go through a washing process to neutralize the pH level otherwise it may be harmful for some kinds of plant which can’t stand with acidic pH level.
General standards:
- Finish product can be packed into PP bag or pressed in block. Depending on customers’ request, cocopeat can be kept natural or washed.
- Moisture: depending on packing method will have different moisture
- Washed cocopeat has EC<1 or can be EC<0.5 if customers have request
